British Government Speaks Up In Defense of BP

While there is much anger directed at BP in the United States our friends across the pond feel that the US government may be coming down too hard on the Britain based oil giant.

Today U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron took a bold step and came to the defense of BP and asked the US to keep in mind the economic value that BP is able to bring both countries in terms of jobs and oil supply.

Prsident Obama seemed to be willing to accept that olive branch offered by Cameron when he appeared to step back from his position that BP shold be forced to subsidize the wages of U.S. workers who would be affected by the moratorium on deep-water drilling in the gulf.
