Caffeine Helps Maximize Strength Throught The Body

Certain amounts of caffeine can jump athletic endurance, with specific caveats, and can have an impact in performing at competitions. While this conclusion is not necessarily suitable for a recreational athlete, it does have performance development for athletes who are active in competition sports. A high concentration of caffeine can increase performance by up to 6% , although the conclusion is based on activities where muscles are not being worked to the maximum potential.
Researchers experimented the effects of caffeine on both power output and endurance of specific muscles in mice, under both maximal and sub-maximal activities. They found that the blood does have the capability to contain caffeine and a concentration level of 70 micro-Mols per liter, with the scientists claiming that “concentrations of 20-50 micro-Mols per liter are not unusual in people with high caffeine intakes.”

Dr. Rob James, lead researcher at Coventry University, in central England, said “A very high dosage of caffeine might prove attractive to a number of athletes wishing to improve their athletic performance.”

It was at the 70 micro-Mol level that the maximum performance was achieved in the mice. The caffeine can be ingested in liquid, powder or tablet form and is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream. When caffeine enters the body , it affects skeletal muscle and provides temporary increases in power.

The World Anti-Doping Agency removed caffeine from the banned substance list in 2004. In 2006, WADA announced that caffeine was put on the monitoring program, and would be placed under close examination for further records of trends in use and possible abuse for the future.
