Earlier today, Toyota Motors said it would temporarily stop shipments of vehicles to Iran after the international move of financial and commercial pressure on Tehran to curb its nuclear goals.
The Toyota spokesman Keisuke Kirimoto stated ” It is true that Toyota has stopped exports of vehicles bound for Iran.We plan to continue to closely monitor this sensitive international situation”.Since Toyota doesn’t have any vehicle factories in Iran, stopping the sell would not be a difficult task to accomplish.Toyota only exported around 220 vehicles to Iran until May this year.
The decision to to stop the sell is accepted by the United Nations Security Council. The package of restrictions included financial transactions and tightening existing embargo’s.
Iran claims that the atomic energy program is not intended for producing nuclear warfare weapons.
