The cost of gasoline at the fuel pumps increased national wide.The countries average cost for a gallon of gas is now 3.13.The price slowly rose in the past couple of weeks and it is expected to make a slight increase in the future.the average was found on 2500 gas stations in major metropolitan areas across the nation.However,Alaska and Hawaii were not included.
One year ago, gasoline was at $2.67 per gallon.For the past nineteen weeks, the average price has increased.since September 24,2009,gas has been increasing and has reached a total of 43.69 cents more.
A couple of weeks ago, it was speculated that crude oil would rise.Crude oil did rise slightly,however,crude oil was returned to its normal price at $89.11 per barrel.
