We had a lot of news about EA’s Battlefield 3 in the recent weeks but quite a few that put a spotlight on the upcoming blockbuster shooter title, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 who is slightly late in the release date calendar compared to Battlefield 3 which will be released 2 weeks earlier.
Despite that, MW3 still stays firm on most of the people’s mind online. We have a statistics from Google Trends that shows the report of both keyword searches in the popular search engine.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game has also been at the top of the chart list of Shacknews’s most anticipated video games which also featured Deus Ex: Human Revolution at no. 2 spot while Battlefield 3 grab the fourth.
While i agreed that the list does not play a major part of what the gaming community desires, it does seems to look very ‘correct’ if we take the equation on the market right now.
Surprisingly, the Japanese audience does not seem to care about both MW3 and Battlefield 3 release as last month issue of “Famitsu’s Most Wanted” revealed that Tales of Xillia on PS3 throned in a list dominated by RPG games with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception takes the 30th spot.
Battlefield 3 is to hit the shelves on October 25 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) on November 8, both set to release on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 console.

either the fanboys of cod are blind, because MW3 looks like MW2, COD is always the same thing after cod 4. Seriously, popularity doesn’t equal better game. COD MW3 is just popular over an name describled as “CALL OF DUTY”. Also Sales doesn’t make a game better. Better games are mainly gameplay. Snap out of it and look how COD MW3 looks the same as mw3. As of protesting. Activision wants is money. Greed and being an cash cow= Goes against any meaning of the words: Updating, and Quality (Graphics are an bonus) which is the gameplay, even goes against customer satisfaction.as caring less to your fans.

Ikr Ralf the only reason MW3 is more popuar is because like 3 years ago everyone was typing in to google when is MW3 coming out. Modern Warfail 3 isnt exactly fresh is it. 3: According to your chart, press coverage of Battlefield 3 is higher than press coverage of Modern Warfare 3 – which by itself contradicts your argument
4: All data previous to 2010 is completely irrelevant – you could have used all that room to detail the years 2010 and 2011 and possibly support your argument, but instead I see a big orange blob (which could be hiding an equally large red blob for all I know).
Work on grammar, present your data in a clean (and unbiased) format, and then perhaps I will listen.

No matter how much you want the kid to succeed, the star quarterback will get his girls and scholarships, while the kid may get into a decent college based on grades. 1)HE is a kid below 13 years who likes fast base super soldier gameplay
2)As a frictional FPS game not a millitary FPS games
3)Cant run the physics of battlefield bad company 2 and even bf3 because of destructable environment
4)Smaller maps with some maze in it and less vehicle and unrealistic movement,buliding are all like iron cant be destructable.
