We had a lot of news about EA’s Battlefield 3 in the recent weeks but quite a few that put a spotlight on the upcoming blockbuster shooter title, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 who is slightly late in the release date calendar compared to Battlefield 3 which will be released 2 weeks earlier.
Despite that, MW3 still stays firm on most of the people’s mind online. We have a statistics from Google Trends that shows the report of both keyword searches in the popular search engine.
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game has also been at the top of the chart list of Shacknews’s most anticipated video games which also featured Deus Ex: Human Revolution at no. 2 spot while Battlefield 3 grab the fourth.
While i agreed that the list does not play a major part of what the gaming community desires, it does seems to look very ‘correct’ if we take the equation on the market right now.
Surprisingly, the Japanese audience does not seem to care about both MW3 and Battlefield 3 release as last month issue of “Famitsu’s Most Wanted” revealed that Tales of Xillia on PS3 throned in a list dominated by RPG games with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception takes the 30th spot.
Battlefield 3 is to hit the shelves on October 25 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) on November 8, both set to release on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 console.

So pretty much, If you wanna find all the bad CoD players, go to Battlefield 3. Were not rage quitting, were gonna act mature and not bitch and sneer at each other about 2 games that arent even out yet. Personally im a BF player, i loved every BF from 1942 to the open alpha of BF3. And same with CoD. CoD 1 was one of the greatest game that ive played. but so was BF1942. I treated them as they should be. Successful and loved video games. Ya CoD isnt as realistic as some other shooters, but neither is BF. CoD’s graphics do need an upgrade compared to todays technology, but who says IW wont make the greatest game engine, or is making it right now and just leading people on. Who says BF or COD will be the game of the year. NO ONE! When the games come out, let the battles begin. But now, lets only anticipate and respect other peoples opinions like the true gamers we are.

I hate these battlefield fans saying COD is for kids. Im 19 and have played all the CODs and they are brilliant. Modern Warfare 3 is gonna be the biggest game of the year just face it! 1. It promotes teamwork instead of lone wolf style gameplay.
2. It has vehicles, including jets.
3. It has destruction.
4. The graphics, lighting, and animations are amazing.
5. It has way more guns, attachments, and vehicle customization.
6. The maps are HUGE
7. On PC it is 32 vs 32 players.

As a side note, this article isn’t accurate in the slightest, partially because the chart has more data from mw3 than bf3. Add bf3 to the chart, then we’ll see which is the “most anticipated than” game.

Seriously, why isn’t Skyrim on the list? I honestly don’t care about Modern Warfare 3 because it will just be Modern Warfare 2 with recycled gameplay and repetitive online gaming. People have been waiting longer for another Elder Scrolls game and it’s being overshadowed to some cliché game. The COD series has begun to decline and there’s no doubt that Modern Warfare 1 was brilliant, so was World at War, but then came Modern Warfare 2, which was a bit of a dissapointment. Then Black Ops, which was just Modern Warfare 2 with only minor changes to gameplay and a story that made no sense. I hope Battlefield 3 will get the 1st person shooter genre back on track so that COD isn’t stealing attention away from other shooters, I think if they want to bring back some originality to the COD series then they should change the gameplay and make it less repetitive. I have seen gameplay videos for COD MW3 and it looks a lot like Modern Warfare 2 did, but I could be wrong, I’ll try it for myself and see for myself.

Infinity Ward have been using the same game engine since CoD4 and when MW2 was released it didnt even have local search or dedicated servers. They dont care about the comunity or how well their games are made, if they did care they would make a multiplayer alpha and beta to test the game, not have to fix all the bug with patches after launch…
CoD is getting old, battlefiled to take over…
