If before, the real question whether the latest firmware of the PS3 console is jailbreakable or not lies in the hands of Mathieulh, rms and several other developers who seemingly wants to keep their mouth shut about “the discovery” that they has found in the PS3 which enables them to run the console in a CFW mode past the 3.55 firmware.
That was long time ago though. Now, with the introduction of PNM project, the scene once again found some hopeful lifeline to get back in the homebrew game. The project, which is headed by No_One, started his ambitious work to experimenting with the PS3 security architecture months ago, and the project have grown so fast that just few days ago, he have made an official announcement that the 3.60 slim flash has been dumped.
I’m going to be on vacations for 3 weeks.
I just wanted to tell you that PNM project will be stopped during this period.
But, i’ve some great news for you.
I successfully dumped a 3.60 NOR flash using one of the socket !
The second socket has been validated too.
We are not far from our main goal : “jailbreak again the PS3″ !
Here are some snapshots :
- host console with a new feature (NOR FLASH details…),
- PNM with a NOR Flash on Socket #1,
- an extract of the 3.60 NOR dump as a proof
With that, the possibility of getting 3.60 keys which eventually will lead to 3.66 CFW is now close to reality. We just hope No_One is up for the task.
