The speculations whether or not iPhone 5 will be hitting the smartphones market in September is heating up after an AT&T employee told Gizmodo that any holidays request for the last two weeks of September would be rejected “due to an event blackout”
“I’m an att employee and my boss just announced that vacation requests for the end of september will be denied due to an “event blackout”. Historically the only time they’ve done this was for an iphone release. So we’re looking at the last two weeks of september.” said the tipster.
The alleged AT&T employee report do sounds quite right if you take account of other rumors that are pointing to a mid September release for iPhone 5.
A different supposedly source within AT&T claimed earlier this week the largest provider of fixed telephony in the United States has told employees to expect increased work load in the month of September ahead of alleged iPhone 5 launch during the month.
There is also another report coming earlier this week also put forward the second week of September as the first official launch for the iPhone 5, in addition, they told that the initial shipment is going to arrive for a total of four million units. While more strong sources in Bloomberg saying that the iPhone 5 is due out in September in a report last month, although they did not specifically said the exact date of when it would actually launch.
When they hold quarterly earnings call last week, Apple themselves mentioning that it will undergo a “future product transition” in the quarter of September, which then sparks the speculation that the mystery product is indeed the brand new iPhone 5.
Whatever it is, they are just rumors, we never had any official confirmation yet from Apple to the public for the release of iPhone 5. The device is expected to have a better specs than the previous iPhone 4 with reports suggest an 8-megapixel camera, A5 processor and a 64 GB product capacity.
