The first breaking image from brand new, Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, ‘Man of Steel’, unveils the look of Henry Cavill role as the legendary Superman, and his new costume, the famous red and white Superman suit.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have hit the internet with the first image of Henry Cavill as Superman in Zack Snyder’s reboot movie, Man of Steel. This comes on the reels of images of Cavill sporting “Clark Kent hair” and openly said how it felt to don the Superman suit.
But will fans alike enjoying this version of Superman? Or will they nitpick the suit, the overall look of the actor, and the overall tone of Snyder’s film to worse, just by looking on this one image?
It most likely will be the latter. But I hope we can digress.
Snyder’s film will goes deep into Clark Kent’s early days and his transformation into becoming one of the world’s greatest superhero of all time. While the script by and story written by David S. Goyer — and Chris Nolan have been kept secret — speculation points to several popular Superman storyline (“Secret Origin”, “Superman: Birthright”) having a major influence on the brand new Superman film.
As for this posted image: It reveals the famous Superman suit which will be mostly used in Snyder’s film, as to how Henry Cavill looks in the act he plays, and tries to explore the physics of a Superman world. You can check out the image below (Click for larger size):

I think that Henry Cavill looks phenomenal. I love the fact that he has muscles that you can see and I love that they opened the neck line up like Reeves was. To me it looks like an updated classic look it looks like reeves suit with a modern day adaption to it.

I think it looks to be inspired by the costumes worn by Kirk Alyn and George Reeves. The “S” shield definately has a golden age look to it. Cavill’s hair also seems to be inspired by George Reeve’s combed back hair minus a spit curl. Makes you wonder about the Comic Con pics where Cavill has wavy hair with the iconic spit curl. I like the costume infinately better than Brandon Routh’s costume. I just hope it has the all yellow “S” on the back of the cape!

I like the costume a lot. I like the length of the cape. I hope it’s practical though. I have a problem with the hair. I was hoping for a more more modern look like a Jim lee wavy thing. But whatever. Hopefully it all works. Cavill looks great and has clearly been training hard for this role.

I saw the Superman Returns suit up close at a NYC toy store [through a glass case] and thought it impressive [with the subtle "S's" woven into the stretchy fabric]. The new suit for Henry Cavill [what we can see of it] appears to be made of thick rubber like the Batman costumes and looks to be cumbersome to move in….must be hot as hell to wear.
