Call of Duty franchise continues to see massive interest among gamers, especially FPS fans, and the progress doesn’t appear to be slowing down. Not only did your Activision Blizzard boss Bobby Kotick cheerfully announce that Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders record were already “significantly” ahead of the previous title, Black Ops at the same time last year, but in a latest interview, he added that the interest in the newest Call of Duty game is unlike everything in the company’s history.
“It’s sort of surprising because you always go into the launch of a new Call of Duty game with an expectation that … it’s a hard number to beat, but if you look at the player enthusiasm for Modern Warfare 3, I don’t know if we’ve really seen anything like it in our 21-year history,” he enthused to Reuters.
Black Ops has already set the sales chart amazingly high, recently reported to hit 25 million units sold, and we’ll all be watching closely for this holiday’s blockbuster performance of MW3 very excitingly.

mw2 was rubbish apart from the story and i may pick it up when its on sale for £25 on ebay or play.com etc
bf3 is going to own this even saints row the third is unless you bring the call of duty franhcise into the next gen version and develop a new game engine like DICE have done

Paul, They do have a new game engine and as for mw2 being rubbish, are you joking me? BF is just too unrealistic, too much damage is required to get kills and the pace is so much slower. MW2 was a great multiplayer game, great balance of guns and the games were fast paced and there was action everywhere. You may have your opinion on CoD and Battlefield but the majority of people prefer CoD

i agree with martin..i dont know why ppl are praising bf3…people see graphics and game engine..but in reality they dont know how bf games play like..its too slow paced on consoles.its not like pc.bf3 is going to be the same with a new paint job….

you guys don’t really know what battlefield is like. im a cod and bf fan myself don’t get me wrong but i hav to agree with paul here. mw engine is outdated. same playing style every year just doesnt cut out of me any more. sam and martin obviously haven’t played a battlefield game. black ops was nice but i realised that it was just another remastered game of cod. i got bored rly quick. just give bf3 a try eh boys? bfbc2 was phenomenal for me

i agree with lil sam i even have proof that this game is the same thing as battlefield bad company 2 my cousin has played the alpha and he gave me feedback about it and he just said it was bfbc2 with a different skin and prone so yeah my final verdict is both games aren’t gonna have changed a bit p.s looks like battlefield is turning into CoD

MW3 is a rehash, and has no dedicated servers. Seriously, host advantage negates the purpose of 60fps. When you have pings over a second on the regular even with full green bar latency the kill cams and what you see happen don’t line up.
MW3 has to shape up its predictable, repetetive run and gun that fails to give you real feedback on reflexes. This never happens in battlefield games because a dedicated server distributes latency far more evenly. If you lag at least everyone is lagging equally, unlike COD. Good luck playing with your friends on the other side of the country on COD, its a joke.
BF3 fans could give a shit whether COD lives or dies, we are just happy there is a good game out there. Its called BF3.
