steve jobs 300x157 Apple to be worlds largest company after ExxonMobilJust when you think that oil is the easiest money out there, there, you have been proved wrong.

We had a lot of reports recently that pointed towards the fact that California based company, Apple is about to take over Exxon Mobil as the biggest listed company in the planet in terms of market value.

StreetInsider.com has published a report that stated Apple’s market cap is US$333.7 billion while Exxon Mobil’s is $338 billion, which means that Steve Jobs and co. could surpass that cap today. The media will keep an eye on it and let you know when Apple officially hit this landmark milestone.

If it turns out to be a reality, congratulations to Steve Jobs and everyone at Apple. That’s a wonderful achievement for a company that is started in a garage and the scarier part is, they didn’t even have to release new iPhones this year to reach that amazing feat.

UPDATE: It’s official, Apple surpasses Exxon Mobil’s market cap, becomes largest U.S. publicly traded company $AAPL
