Is 3DS worth to buy with the new price cut?

nintendo 3ds 300x259 Is 3DS worth to buy with the new price cut?A lot of Nintendo fans are happy with the new price cut which is officially in effect today but is it worth to buy 3DS now? We didn’t think so.

Flaws after flaws has surface since its availability in the market. For one, there are not enough 3DS games available currently with the studios publishing just about 1 or 2 every 3-4 months.

Perhaps the fact that 3DS have the ability to play DSi games would somehow make Nintendo fans happy but it has been known that DSi games are pixelated, blurry on 3DS display. There is a fix for that, but in order to play DSi games on its native resolution will however makes the gameplay screen even smaller than the previous reiteration of Nintendo DS.

It is also known that due to design flaw, the top screen of 3DS tend to scratches. When 3DS is in its closed state, the buttons on the low compartment scratches the top screen. Nintendo admitted that putting clothes in between the two screens will help solve this problem, but why should we instead have to do that?

Have you checked the upcoming list of games for 3DS? Well I did and few of them are also available for DSi. The only difference is that DSi won’t have 3D effects. Examples of games that will be coming for both console is ; Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, Harvest Moon: Twin Villages.

Perhaps gamers should wait for Nintendo to come out with 3DSi or 3DSi XL before getting a 3DS.

‘half of the upcoming 3ds games are coming to the dsi as well’
well that is a lie, mario kart 7, super mario 3d land, pokemon, lylac wars, driver renegade, cave story, fifa 12, sonic generations, sims 3 pets, need for speed, resident evil revelations, metal gear solid….. this artical is a lie.
there are many games coming out later.
and there wont be any 3dsi or xl….. so far leave it 2 years and there might be.

I don’t mean to be rude, but this article is pretty poorly written. Perhaps English is not your first language? Bob is definitely correct about upcoming titles, and that plus the extremely poor grammar really takes away from the credibility of this article.

The 3DS is garbage, it’s the reason I don’t consider myself a Nintendo fan anymore. It’s just such a monumental piece of crap that I have no more interest in Nintendo until they release their NEXT handheld, hopefully with two analog sticks and no more buggy 3D. I paid $250 for my 3DS and found that if I had waited a few months I could’ve gotten it for $170 at Walmart or Target and STILL gotten the Ambassador crap, making it pretty much worthless in my mind.

Luckily Nintendo’s refunding my 3DS due to the 3D-related pain, I’m buying a Playstation Vita with the refund money. It provides handheld gaming with pretty much zero compromises over a PS3, except Bluray playback and slightly lower power. I’ve never been a Sony fan, but now’s a great time to hop onto the Sony bandwagon.
