If you’re fan of the heavily popular mod based Warcraft game, DotA, you might as well identify these, whether or not the just popped out alleged DotA 2 screenshots were the real deal.
A NeoGAF thread is surfacing what appears to be the first actual gameplay screens of the upcoming DOTA 2. The Valve strategy title is set to get its first official unveiling later this week at gamescom after nearly a year-long blackout period. The screens show the title’s UI, art style and more. There’s also an alleged character shot over on the Heroes of Newerth forums. The shots seem to be captured from a video that was posted on a certain Chinese website, going by the watermark in the bottom right of one of the shots. A piece of art from the game was posted on Friday.
The next Valve’s gamescom showing, a pro tournament with prizes up to $1 million, will be streamed online for people all over the world to see. DOTA 2 will hit the shelves later this year for PC and Mac.
