Valve has just announced a new twist to their heavily popular shooter franchise, the Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
At the moment, there wasn’t much details we can go on to learn how the game would look like. So, to get more information on this title, it is best to ask from someone who thoroughly played the game, not a staff from Valve, but an average fan who also happened to loved first person shooter type of games.
Bastian is one of the luckiest man around to get his hands dirty on the new CS, speaking on Twitter, he said that he has tried the PC version of Counter Strike: Global Offensive and cast doubt if it can compete with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 which are set to release later this year, “We only saw the pc version but you could tell that it will work on console. Question is if it can compete with COD and BF3…”
Asked how he can describe the game, “It’s an all new game and it felt completely different on both days because they changed so much over night.It’s real hard to say!” Bastian exclaimed.
However, there are seem to be divided opinions between the older generations of the franchise. The CS: GO in particular has been reported not to live up the expectations it can carry on from the previous reiteration of 1.6 Counter Strike. Even more, Valve has also allegedly did not get help from the 1.6 experts before building up the game.
“Just don’t get that wrong. This is NOT gonna be CS2… Like what you would might expect…” Bastian argued.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive is due for a release next year on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Looking forward to it. I’ll buy it for sure no matter what the new requirements are. I hope they add a map of the Osama Bin Laden raid that would be awesome, that and a flame thrower, grenade launcher and a rocket launcher; I’d say they would make the game a bomb.
All in all I’m happy playing CS:S until the new one comes out.

Dont judge any game before seeing trailer and gameplay footage
I am a battlefield 3 fan but still i can say who knows CSGO could be the best FPS ever.
They need to Give all feature from it and even more……………………….

They can just make the graphics even more better than Counter-Strike Source and be made by valve and you already got a game better than Call of Duty and Battlefield.

Counter Strike could never be comparable to the Battlefield or CoD series. Unless CS: GO is suddenly filled with large-scaled maps & usable vehicles or picks up on perks and unlockables I would never go to say, “Counter Strike (1.6/Source) is better/worse than CoD (whatever) or Battlefield (1, 2, or 3.)”
I hope CS: GO doesn’t feature unlockables, although it makes a game somewhat worth playing longer to get a full layout of a character; Counter Strike games give you a full layout that lets you choose what you want to play with(Hell, sometimes the pricier weapons aren’t considered better.) I’m okay with it being a F2P based game, as long as it doesn’t do, “Buy the m4a1 for 6.99$ to use in your layout!” or the even worse, “Buy a useless gas-mask for 1.99$ for character design!”
It depends on how Valve wants to try it though.

Actually, you’d be better off porting the entire 1.6 engine to an updated modern look of counter-strike in 2011. Full revamp same exact gameplay, new modes (modes=server mods ! ) map dlc of classics. Fy_iceworld anyone holy crap.
Just make it 1.6 !!!! GOLD $$$
