Firefox 7 has shrugged off its Project Aurora tag, and now is available as Beta for major operating system.
One of the big areas we can look forward to in this version will be performance improvements. Let’s take a look of what Mozilla has to say about that.
“Reduces memory use and improves performance areas including responsiveness, startup and page load time, even in complex websites and Web apps” said the official blog post for the release.
We will also be looking in to the memory management side of the browser where it played a key role in most of the users browsing behavior.
Having said that, “The JavaScript garbage collector works more frequently to free up memory and improve performance when you have many tabs open or keep Firefox running for a long time”
In the meantime, the release of the beta does not states any 64-bit version which is quite a disappointment for those looking on a better utilization of their system.
