Lionel Messi may get a higher rating in FIFA 12′s player abilities system than Cristiano Ronaldo after a tweet from official EA Sports FIFA sparks a new concern.
The tweet which stated; “Silly story going around about Leo Messi’s ratings in game. Let’s be clear – he has the same amazing rating no matter which shirt he wears.” came after several arguments on Messi’s lackluster performance when wearing his national shirt team which is Argentina despite the brilliance he has shown with Barcelona, his current club team.
EA Sports has also said that the Argentinian will have “amazing rating” which then bring up a speculation whether he will get a better rating than his rival, Cristiano Ronaldo who last season has scored 40 goals in Spanish league compared to Messi’s 31.
FIFA 12 will be available in stores September 27 in North America and September 30 worldwide for the PlayStation 3 (PS3), Xbox 360, and Windows PC.

Messi has showed a bit better preformences greatly in part to xavi andres inesta and the barca squad. Critics put more pressure on ronaldo but the thing is a team consits of 11 players not 1.clearly seen when messi has bad games with argentina.i think if ronaldo had yhe chances messi gets he put them away just like messi has in the clasicos. To my opion cr7 is right with messi if not better..

No one will deny that barca is better than real madrid at the moment but ppl give messi more credit then ronaldo,for example no one gives ronaldo credit for his game winning gol for la copa del rey and everytime messi scores every messi fan is hype ronaldo is the better futballer

Messi has done nothing worth talking about for his country ever. Dont point out the Olympics, to most it is not the most talented test. It is nothing compared to WC, Euro, or Copa America. Ok so now that we know messi has done nothing for his country. Lets move on to Cristiano Ronaldo, ROnaldo likewise has not done crap in past euro and WC but if you really want to think about it. He has a WC semi final and a Euro final under his belt. WHich i worth recognising. Yes he did them with Figo, Simao and postiga but if you make that argument look at who messi has/had, kun aguero, Tevez, Veron, Riquleme, cambiasso. The list goes on and on.
Ronaldo has more credentials internationally than Messi.

Messi’s national performance seems lacking but why? It’s not that his argentinian team is bad but that they don’t play the way he wants. Argentina’s line up is very defensive with 3 defensive midfielders several defenders and 4 forwards. This may seem good, but there’s no connection between them. They need some player to connect those defensive midfielders to the forwards (like an attacking midfielder). The manager basically tells Messi to do that as well as play as a forward and no matter how good you are, it’s very difficult to dribble past 5-6 national level players and score. This is also the reason why Messi has more assists than goals for his national team. The thing is that argentina does have an attacking midfielder-Pastore but for some reason, the manager won’t put him on. So basically, Messi has been playing with barcelona since he was a child so he learned their playing style. So when he plays now, it seems that Barcelona is built around him, while the Argentinian team does not. Also, I hate all that crap about how Messi is only good because of Xavi and Iniesta. Look at these two videos and tell me that Messi can’t score without Xavi and Iniesta:

messi should have higher ratings. at least put his strength up a little. you guys made him shit in fifa 11 and even a ronaldo fan know that it’s not that easy to push messi off the ball. he hustles his ass off too much for that kind of rating. now, i’m not saying make him superman, but just make sure his ratings are fair. he’s not that weak, and doesn’t lose that ball as often as you made it seem on fifa 11. either way i enjoyed using both players and even went as far as putting them on the same team in career mode. it was an insane team with my pro, and those two at the striking and wing positions

They should be the same, like if you played Ronaldo upfront he’d be 90 and Messi upfront would be 90. Messi’s strength should be increased & puyol & piques need to be decreased they are way too strong & unrealistic.

If EA were to NERF Ronaldo, then they would also need to NERF every other single player that includes the MAJESTERIALY-HYPED MESSI by at least 10 points off thier overall ratings, thats if EA wants to keep the game as true to real life as it gets!

HAHA all you Ronaldo fan boys clearly kniw nothing bout football. Messi has been on top of World footy for 3 seasons and is just getting better. He hit over 50 goals last season, and to everyone who says it’s cause of xavi and iniesta, Messi got more assists than both of them last season put together.
