It’s the time of the year again for the footballing community. Which, among these mortals franchises would salvage this season’s edition of football gaming? You decide.
Just a few years ago, it was Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer series that ruled over the fans for its genre, with its slick and top-notch gameplay during the time, it seems no one would ever dare to take PES spot away for the best soccer experience in a game.
EA Sports FIFA on the other hand, slowly building its addictive fuel of footballing engine dated back as far as the 2008 era until its 2011 edition which saw an interesting revamp in its gameplay. The recent face of FIFA is much more realistic, has that needed fluidity, and ahead in comparison with the PES series that saw a total downhill, where it lacks everything that one would ask.
Today, we got ourselves gameplay footage from Gamescom for both franchises upcoming titles to decide which one is the clear winner for this season and whether or not PES has something to surprise its faithful followers.

fifa is like pinball .ea clearly dont understand real football .pes feels more realistic and it has so much more depth ie ,tactics,individual player personality,realistic formations and much better ai.fifa is for kids .fifa players are like robots they never get tired every online match is 100 miles an hour with second player pressure constantly used.no thought process and similar goals ie give and goes all the time.they even make rooney good just because he’s on the cover what a joke.also ultimate team is a joke the point is to build a team not to go out and spend stupid amounts of money on one.come on people wake up your’e being taken for a ride by ea its all about the money not the game.avoid fifa and get pes and play master league its so much more rewarding .

zico101 you make me laugh. Could you be more biased? To hear a PES fan say that FIFA players are robotic is like hearing a french man call someone else arrogant. Both games are good. If you want to play a quality game of online FIFA try joinng a manual league. The pace and gameplay is perfect. The most enjoyable experience you can have.

It’s no contest. FIFA is and has been better since 08. I have owned both and PES just seems so arcade-like, whereas FIFA is more natural and realistic. If you are looking for a a professional football expierence, FIFA is where its at.

absolutely .. fifa 12 .. if we talking about gameplay … fifa 12 are more smooth and real … but if talking about game mode .. i prefer pes 2012 .. game mode in pes 2012 was more interesting and have a good story so wont be that boring while playing offline ..AND I STILL PREFER GAMEPLAY .. SO FIFA 12 .. WIN ..

i haven’t even watched fifa 12 video yet and i already know how much better it is going to be than what i saw from pro evo..i would expect that sort of gameplay from a psp..fifa 12 all the way

In all honesty whoever is videoing the PES version either has a better camera quility or a better hd tv.. that being said the players on both games react diffrently to a through ball and a cross… PES (from what i could see) is more like the COD if the ball is anywhere in the “screen” they see it as for fifa it seems is for towards the “players” eyesight… again Konami is and always will be arcade which is why it plays like it does (can even tell this in the menus and the moneverabilty of the players) and EA is and always will be more centered towards people gaming
head to head honeslty its liek comparing carabaes italian grill to actually eating in italy… FIFA 12 is gonna be the winner EA just adds way more things to there engine and to there actual gameplay (on the pitch) again this is just for my perspective and it could change once i actually play both games… But form the videos its FIFA 12

Both footie games are good. PES made some good progress and fixed a LOT of bugs from the 2011 version.
The problem is that PES still contains a load of bugs and just seems to mimic last year’s FIFA.
PES was, without a single doubt the best game in the PS2 era. Yet in the ‘next-gen’ era of ps3/xb360 it just hasn’t been able to match Fifa’s levels of programming finesse.

If you look at gamerankings.com you will see that every copy of PES since the PS3 has gotten lower grades than FIFA.

People who think PES is better are usually those players who lose in FIFA and manage to win in PES due to its many bugs. It’s the single most annoying point: i always feel that in PES the computer decides whether i win or lose. In FIFA i feel 100% in control.
