As we know it, the Lionel Messi era of donning the face of PES series has been virtually over after Konami has decided to pick Cristiano Ronaldo as their mascot.
No official image or logo of PES 2012 has been released yet along with Ronaldo, but we got ourselves a picture of European PES Team Leader, Jon Murphy and the Portuguese published by the former in his Twitter account.
“Today went really well. Had a great interview with @Cristiano, so watch out for it. #PES2012″ he said in his tweet with the link of the image.
Asked by a Twitter user why they choose Ronaldo instead of Messi as the cover of PES 2012, he simply said, “Just time for change. New pes new face”
PES 2012 scheduled for October 14 release and goes live on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Konami described the title as the “most ambitious and advanced football game ever”.

Alone? What a knob. If anything, Di Maria won Copa Del Rey, he’s the won who worked hard for the space and he provided the cross. Ronaldo scored 53 goals last season from tap ins, penalties and from the work of Ozil, Di Maria and Alonso. Ronaldo doesn’t make his own goals anymore. He peaked at Man Utd. A typical Ronaldo fanboy won’t see that.

Its because people are finally starting to realize that just because Barca has beaten Madrid the majority of the time recently, it has nothing to do with Messi being a better player than Ronaldo. Especially noticing the differences between Messi Barca and Messi Argentina, its hard to deny the fact that even though Madrid may not have the better team (chemsity wise) they are on the climb towards Barca and Ronaldo has proven himself despite the lack of team silver-wear that he is without a doubt the best and most complete futbol player in the world right now and has always been for the last 3 or 4 years. Ronaldo is the most threating player offensively soccer has ever seen i believe, why wouldn’t PES want to embody that for a video game?

Your statement is ludacris. Yes, people are starting to realize something. And that is that Messi is light years ahead of c. Ronaldo. Of course barcelona beating madrid proves Messi is better! He is the one who resolves the games! When he doesn’t score he makes brillian assists. Ronaldo, on the other hand, does some fancy step overs, loses the ball, chases after it, and walks the field the field the rest of the game. So far he has made 4 goals in 6 classicos compared to Messi’s 6 goals in the 6 games. You point out Messi’s performance with the Argentina national team. You should take a closer look at C. Ronaldo’s performances with his national team and it isn’t all that spectacular. Messi is more complete footballer than hi. Better vision, pace, dribbling ability, technique, and ability to change the tempo of the game. Unlike Ronaldo, Argentina and Barca depend on Messi, Barca so the team can be more dynamic, and Argentina to do all the work.

Ronaldo may need ozil and others to create goals, but he player well for united and Portugal without them. Messi plays well for barca because of xavi and inesta then two best midfield players in the world. And rubbish for argentina without them. We are all going to see a very big change this year. We are going to see faireness finally. I am so tired of people saying that messi is better than Cr7. Ronaldo has been such a great player for so long and yet he has had to give way to messi . This attitude torwards him must have hurt.I pray and hope that Cr7 takes back his title and place back from messi as he has been much better than messi for so long. People forget that CR7 was off for a bout 2 months lasr year and that through him back a bit. Messi played constantly and only scored 1 goal more than CR7. SO, WHO IS BETTER THAN whom???
Cr7 is a complete player . He does free kicks, and messi doesnt and cannot. Cr7 gets hold of that ball and plays and passes and goals when he cannot pass to any one. Messi needs other players to score.

And so it goes on and on. I noticed last night ‘s game when Cr7 scored a hat trick that the other players werent happy at all. I think there must be so much bitchness amongst those guys and competition.I think that it is so sad to have to work like that.I think that all the guys in REAL MADRID are all good.But in every job or company you get the one who is a bitter better. Cr7 will go and do his best when he plays and I am not saying that the other guys dont at all. maybe some are more lucky than others. When he was at man u it was the same thing. Rooney didnt like CR7 and it was clear and he still doesnt. Only the other day he said he would prefer to workl with Messi and Cr7. I guess, those are your views? Wow! It shows just how we focus on favourites than brilliance. If I was to play for Barcelona with Xavi and Iniesta, it will be unlikely to score 53 goals. Why? Because neither are attack minded players, although their ball control and possesion is overwhelming. Having the best in everything including my favourite manager ever Josè Mourinho, Its more be likely for one to score over a 100 goals in one season. Di Marìa, Özil, Marcelo, Kaká, Ramos are all attack minded and less selfish if not at all. PES opted for Ronaldo as he resembles the whole new edition of 2012. He’s agile, technically superior and above all, a talented footballer. Like Messi, his era won’t last as nothing is forever. This is not a war of who is better than who, but a decision taken with considering marketing popularity. But, lets not forget this: Football, Nagumet, Fútbol, Fußboll or whatever you call it is not about how many step overs you make and neither is it about who you play along. It is not for Ronaldo and neither is it for the Messi’s. Football is a team challenge, a game wherein we play TOGETHER as a TEAM. Ronaldo would be nothing without the players around him. Messi would be nothing without the players around him too. And the most sorry fact that confuses many sports analysts is that of completeness. There is no such thing as a COMPLETE PLAYER in football as long as its REAL LIFE. If we are to change our views about soccer, first, we need to know that the everyone who plays soccer is a soccer player and is not complete nor is he half. No. On the other hand, Ronaldo has players who strive to be the best. Those who are craving for silverware even at International level but yet again, he still fails to impress but, because he is at the helm of fan admiration, it always has to be someone’s fault. I am not against Messi and neither am I against Ronaldo, but what happens on the pitch and against who is what matters. Ronaldo is the best but Messi is still better. Why? Look on the pitch. To Davy…. Dont credit where it is not due. Messi is NOT a player to Cr7. Cr is all round best at everything. He is so very exicting to watch he has this exiting way of playing which makes the world want to watch and admire. Just because you like messi it doesnt mean that the wolrd likes him.
