Hundreds or maybe thousands of players worldwide has been shunned and tricked by ClickAndBuy and Square Enix where players found themselves stuck with an unusable Final Fantasy XIV keys.
It started when they first launched the problematic FFXIV back in September last year. Square Enix decided for players to use a payment system called Crysta which can only be bought in supported countries such as in UK and US. For other country they are left with ClickAndBuy payment gateway and there lies the problem.
Everyone knows that FFXIV has the worst billing system ever existed for MMO. In order to play the game, you need to activate the service by entering your FFXIV keys. After entering the keys, you have to create character account in the billing, not the game. In order to create the character in the billing, you need to buy Crysta. FFXIV however is still in trial mode and if you are in UK or USA, you could just went to PayPal and SE will let you create characters for free as long as you pick a payment gateway. But that’s not the case for those who has registered their account in country other than UK and US.
SE decided that everyone that lives outside the region needs to verify themselves with a credit card via ClickAndBuy. However ClickAndBuy decided to shun everyone that uses credit card from country that is not in their list of support. If you were someone from Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai or any other part of the world, you will received a message “ this offer is not activated for your country of origin”, leaving player unable to activate their FFXIV keys and unable to play the game.
To make the matter worse, S.E will not let you re-use your key in another account, they will not let you change address, and will not refund your money back for the unusable key. As for ClickAndBuy, the support is rather does not exist.

A player has commented that S.E support told him to contact ClickAndBuy, and when he did contact ClickAndBuy, they told him to settle with S.E. It’s an endless loop.
Apparently the only way to recover your lost is to buy another case of FFXIV and register a new S.E account in country that accepted Crysta as payment.
This has been going on for a year, many has paid hundreds for their limited edition and ended with an unusable disc. Square Enix knows and is sweeping it under the carpet. Did Square / Sony lose too much money in PS3 and FFXIV that they decided to scam innocent buyers?

Your post makes sense except your including sony which has nothing to do with this game and the payment system. This is all SE not Sony.
