Remember, having an Assassin perk in the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 doesn’t necessarily make you invincible all the time and it is echoed by Infinity Ward as well.
“Assassin isn’t this all powerful stealth perk, Recon Drone can still see / tag you and you can be tagged by Recon.” said Robert Bowling, Creative Strategist at Infinity Ward when replying to @XIBirdmanIX @thebigb82 in his Twitter account.
Assassin is a Tier 2 perk set to be introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It will give the player undetectable by UAV, portable radar, Thermal Scopes and Heartbeat Sensors.
The pro version turns the player immune to Counter-UAVs and EMPs. It also prevents a red crosshair being reimagined when an enemy aims at the player.
The Recon Drone on the other hand is also a 10-point Support Strike Chain that appears in MW3.
It gives the player a small helicopter UAV that can fly around the map, and “Tag” enemy players for their teammates.
Tagging an enemy will reward 100 points. It is still remains to be seen how long the drone lasts, but it seems to have a height limit: when reaching it, the image on the screen will start losing definition, like on the minimap when a counter-UAV is active.
