Following a weak earnings report this week, popular smartphone maker Research in Motion’s bad times are expected to continue with the upcoming launch of Apple’s next-generation iPhone.
As RIM starts to ramp-up the stock of devices powered by its new BlackBerry 7 mobile operating system, Apple is reportedly to hold an event in the coming weeks to announce the iPhone 5 or whatever it will be called.
Analyst Brian White who is from Ticonderoga Securities, set his eyes that the iPhone 5 will “steamroll” RIM’s BlackBerry 7 lineup.
White said RIM’s BlackBerry latest was simply too small, too late, and the Canadian company’s worst era will only add to Apple’s momentum.
He thought that momentum going “off the charts” in October, when Apple’s widely known as “iPhone 5″ is expected to debut.
