To think that an iPhone is as powerful as Xbox 360 is an understatement, but we might as well see it outselling the console, despite the heavier price tag.
RBC Capital Markets is estimating 110 million iPhones will be shipped in fiscal 2012.
To put this right, more than 9 million iPhones will be sold per month, or approximately 30 times as many units as Microsoft is selling of the Xbox 360, their top-selling console in the history.
Here’s what we can speculate of in an iPhone 5: It will have a much improved processor (most probably the A5 currently used in the iPad 2) and a bigger screen (likely to be 3.7” or 4”, though there’s also reports pointing to a same size).
Then we can expect Apple to introduces thinner, or lighter, or have a better battery life than the current iPhone, or you can also bet all of those features.
The price? Well it may cost about the same as the current iPhone 4 plan ($199 or $299 with 2-year contract). The iPhone 5 will most definitely available for AT&T and Verizon, and rumored to be included on Sprint and T-Mobile’s lineup as well.
