Pixar’s Toy Story writers Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen have surprised everyone that they’re currently in talks to write a film based on Facebook-hit Farmville.
In a revelation to IGN during an interview about their work on upcoming game Skylanders Spyro’s Adventures, the duo said the following when quizzed about projects they’re attached to currently:
“So, yes, we will continue writing movies. We are also working on several new and very exciting opportunities. We’re in conversations with Zynga to do something with one of their brands. Can’t really say too much on that front yet, but ‘Old MacDonald’ didn’t have a factory, if you get our drift.”
Previous reports have point to speculation about Zynga working on a Mafia Wars film, but a Farmville movie has never been talked before.
The film project has not been officially announced. IGN has contacted Zynga about the matter but they’re refused to comment.
