The trailer has blown everybody away especially to the huge base of Grand Theft Auto fans but looking it closely, did Rockstar want to tease us with the title’s eventual release date?
Depending on how much credibility we put in easter eggs, we could say that the GTA 5 release date has been hinted by a small tip in the debut trailer of Grand Theft Auto V.
Although it might go wrong, but based on the “hint” alone, the date could be May 24, 2012, as you can see on the screenshot below, the sign saying “For Sale 2405.”
Those in the States might not have caught this as a date because they do them the other way round to what the British do, as the Grand Theft Auto series developed by Rockstar North, a UK company.
So there you go, with not much of details we can get from GTA 5, this info is good enough to make your day as a devoted fan to the franchise.

Another site http://www.grandtheftautoforever.com did think along the same lines. I think a lot of people think Rockstar would have put a date in there somewhere. It would be “very GTA” to have a clever date. I would think though it’s a bit too early for them to pick a date. Spring is too soon I think but the holiday 2012 makes a lot of sense imo.

24/05 means the release date is the 24th of may, and may is the 5th month of 2012.

There’s also the number 1079… its on the garbage bins AS WELL AS the license plate. Coincidence? This is a big stretch, but the very first GTA game came out in October, 1997. Or 10/97. 1097. That’s really close to 1079… but, maybe I’ve just been waiting too long for this game and I’m starting to see things.
