Everyone was excited when it was believed that Hideo Kojima has confirmed the successor of Metal Gear Solid 4. Reality struck today as the Official Playstation Magazine has revealed a snippet of their interview with Kojima regarding the sequel.
Here is a quote from the interview: “I think we’ll probably have to make it at some point, but what that will be, we have no idea”.
This quote is regarding his involvement if there is a sequel: “As far as my involvement in the project is concerned, [it] probably won’t be as much as it was with MGS1 – maybe I can do just one stage! For MGS1 I made the maps myself, laid out the enemy routes myself, did everything hands-on – that level I can’t do again.”
Hopefully we will get the fifth installment one day, for now we have to be satisfied with Metal Gear Rising and Snake Eater 3D. The issue will be out on 29th of November.
