Kotaku has gotten some insider news regarding Dragon Age and Dead Space. Firstly, Dead Space is getting a first-person shooter, a flight game and an ‘Uncharted’ like game to “make the series bigger and better.” says the insider.
The Dead Space 3 rumor is still alive too, it will be taking place on the ice planet Tau Volantis and will have co-op play.
Now for Dragon Age, the insider says that it will follow in the footsteps of Bioware’s other major RPG brand (logical guess would be Mass Effect) and will offer multiplayer reportedly being powered by DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine.
This could either be part of the next major installment (Dragon Age 3) or is offered as a separate downloadable title. It will be arena based and features PvE and PvP as well as humans battling dragons.
These are all rumors keep in mind and I myself is not particularly excited for both. I am a huge Dragon Age fan and Dragon Age 2 while having its moments was a little disappointing as the follow up to the epic Dragon Age Origins. It was due to them rushing it out the door. So I’m hoping that they would focus more on the next iteration rather than all these extra projects.
For Dead Space, they should just leave it as it is. Do not fix something that is not broken.
