Cesc Fàbregas scored the last goal in exciting La Liga match between Real Madrid and Barcelona at Santiago Bernabéu stadium that resulted the final score of 1-3 which grant the opposition side three points in the league.
Karim Benzema had opened the scoring within the first minute after capitalizing the mistake made by the Catalan backline. It proved to be the first ever goal scored by the Frenchman in El Clasico ties between his team Real Madrid and Barca. The striker’s effort has also been described as the fastest ever Clasico goal in the history.
In the 19th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo had a powerful long shot stopped by Victor Valdes before he wasted a clear cut chance provided by Benzema just a few minutes later.
Alexis Sánchez then slotted in past Iker Casillas to bounce Barcelona back from the costly error made by the Spanish goalkeeper. The new Chilean signing had registered his first goal for the club to mark his participation in the El Clasico thanks to the incisive pass made by Lionel Messi.
It was a different affair in the second half after Xavi Hernández made it 1-2 for Barcelona. Fàbregas then headed in the final goal of the match to win it for the Catalan giants.
