Now that World Cyber Games (WCG) 2011 has officially ended, the anticipation has been set for the arrival of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in the next year’s edition of the prestigious gaming championship.
The fourth game in the Counter-Strike franchise were expected to be available early next year on all major gaming platforms which include Microsoft Windows (PC), Mac OS X, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (PS3). Beta codes to download CS: GO are available to selected people.
Despite being a new title, the mechanics of the game is still there and the current players should be able to adapt into the shooter environment easily. Counter-Strike 1.6 is the current edition of CS game up for challenge in the tournament.
ESC Gaming have won the 2011 WCG gold medal with a two Counter-Strike maps to one victory over SE SK Gaming.
World Cyber Games (WCG) is an international competitive video-gaming (e-sports) event founded by South Korean company World Cyber Games Inc. and sponsored by Microsoft and Samsung. It has been held every year since it’s inception in the year of 2000.
