According to a tweet from the official Valve Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Twitter account, it has been promptly notified that they will be launching the beta for CS:GO this New Year.
“Feedback from the stress test has been great.Our next step;launching the beta begins in the New Year.Thanks to everyone participating! #CSGO” tweeted @csgo_dev on the popular social networking site.
It was a small detail from Valve, but we can speculate that the New Year launching is indeed an open beta as they are expected to release the full version of it, also next year. Note that it’s just a few weeks to go, so you can now stop asking Valve for the game’s beta codes.
In any case, this type of beta would benefit a lot before they accelerate CS:GO onto the already crowded shooter market.
With the great influence from the CS franchise itself, most people would be targeting the title as one of the top seller in 2012.
