It seems a longtime hacker is already looking to crack his way into the all-new PlayStation handheld device after not even 24 hours of it’s official launch in Japan.
SKFU is an household name in the PS3 hacking scene and one could wonder what he can do by just looking at the Twitter application package for the PS Vita.
“I just got my tried to unpack the Twitter application for PS VITA and sadly I have to say that the AES key for PKG encryption and decryption changed.” he wrote in his blog post yesterday.
The file format package for the Vita is identical to what has been programmed in the PlayStation 3 but according to SKFU himself, the encryption and decryption keys has been changed.
But, that’s not the end of the road for the hacker. He further explains that:
The PKG’s I used for my testings were pretty old and the key update was expected.
Nevertheless it’s a bit disappointing but a new nice challange![]()
The PS3 can decrypt the new packages on firmware 4.00 which contains the new PS VITA PKG AES key for the PS3 <--> PS VITA content exchange feature. This means we can decrypt and get the content of the PS VITA PKG files via a 4.00 PS3. Sadly there’s no solution to re-encrypt it again, yet.
He concludes by saying, “Let the games begin! (again…)”

Sony deserves to get hacked for their overpriced Memory sticks. Plus, I want to play emulators on it like pc games on the vita, N64 roms, Maybe even Dreamcast ISO’s if its powerful enough to emulate Dreamcast. I personally don’t even have much interests in Sony’s crappy games like Uncharted, Indiana Jones type games aren’t my thing. Zelda is and alot of older games that can probably be emulated by the Ps Vita are.

If Nintendo was smart they’d get someone to hack the Sony since I’m sure Sony is the one responsible for the 3DS being hacked seeing how the only ppl who hate Nintendo are Sony.

well one way zac is right in the way that if we dont buy the games and pirate them then we have just killed this great system but if sony dosent add remote playing games and other features they promised then i want 300 dollars back. so basically get some cfw but buy the games.
