With the recent reports pointing to a release of both next-gen consoles from Microsoft and Sony, one could wonder if Activision and Treyarch is already readying their rumored title, Iron Wolf (Black Ops 2) for the PS4 and Xbox 720.
The possibility of the next Call of Duty not being on the current available platforms are something that can be considered as a bad move from Activision, but if Microsoft and Sony knocking in with great offer to sell up their respective consoles, then there is nothing the firm can do.
MCV has claimed that the next generation of Xbox and PlayStation will be shown at E3 2012 citing an “exemplary, 100% concrete, ultra high level source”.
Call of Duty: Iron Wolf story first arrived in August last year when an employee of Treyarch caught playing an unknown title called “Iron Wolf”. No official confirmation from Activision on the reported title.
Treyarch is a major developer in the Call of Duty series. They have made Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World at War, and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

i hope when the 720 is out that they still are making the 360 games still because ill will not be pleased and plus even if the 720 comes out we should still make the 360 name diffrent by the games both working in each console.

The 720 WILL NOT
be out in 2012
nor will the PS4 for a couple of reasons
If it were a new xbox they would want HALO 4 to launch that
but it has been confirmed that HALO 4 will only be on the 360
And halo 4 will release in 2012
And for the ps4
SONY would want to make the PS4 BETTER than the 720 because
THATS WHAT THEY TRY AND DO
resulting in the PS4 release after the XBOX 720

Badman, PS3 is more advance. The reason why Xbox is coming out with 720 soon (fact) is because developers have used 360′s hardware to it’s fullest and can’t get anymore out of it. Plus it’s outdated already. PS3 still hasn’t had it’s hardware used to it’s fullest.
And since Xbox 720 won’t come out this year, and PS4 isn’t coming out anytime soon (due to the Vita), Call of Duty/Activision would loose money by waiting a few years to launch it’s next game on next-gen consoles.
