After public outcry over the reimagining of one of the most beloved strategy titles of all time into a FPS by 2K Marin, fans of the series have got the announcement they been waiting for.
According to the February cover of Gameinformer, Firaxis Games will be developing XCOM: Enemy Unknown and it will be a full on strategy game just the way it should be.
Steve Martin, president of Firaxis Games said, “It’s been a dream of ours to recreate X-COM with our unique creative vision. We’re huge fans of the original game and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to re-envision a game that is as beloved as X-COM,”
It will be out for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in fall.
