The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation is sending a Jewish pop singer to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest which will be held this May in Baku, Azerbaijan. The semi-finals for the 2012 Eurovision will take place on May 22 & 24 while the final will take place on May 26.
Surprisingly, this selection is getting positive reactions from many people even with the tense relations between Turkey and Israel. Turkey didn’t hold a pre-Eurovision competition this year. Instead, they have a professional committee to select the entry.
Can Bonomo started his music career by playing the guitar at the age of eight. He became a vocal productionist at age of 17. Can Bonomo released his very first album, Meczup, on January 24, 2011. All the songs in the album are written by him.
