Today, greenpois0n have already released two versions of Absinthe. One for Windows and one for Mac. The Linux version will be available for download soon.

Before you start, you need to make sure that your iPhone 4S is running 5.0 or 5.0.1 firmware. For iPad 2, make sure it is 5.0.1. This is very important in order to make it work.

      For Mac:
-Recover your jailbreak by relaunch Absinthe.app
-Do a backup from iTunes of your iPhone
-Go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings
-Restart your iPhone as a new one
      -Do the jailbreak with Absinth.app
-Launch Absinthe from your iPhone, and turn on VPN
-After restarting, launch Cydia to initialize
-Launch iTunes to recover from your backup

      For Windows:
      -Extract all files in computer
-Right click on the absinthe logo>go to properties and click compability
-Check the “run this program in compability” and choose Windows XP (SP2)
      -Click apply then ok
-Now run it as administrator and follow the jailbreak tutorial

I onlyhave access to a laptop issued by myemoyer, so I do nto have Admin rights. Why is this version requiring I be signed in as Admin? Will there be a version not requiring this?
