Olympus OM-D: Poor man’s Leica to be released?

Olympus OM D 300x164 Olympus OM D: Poor mans Leica to be released?

Recently, 43rumors.com leaked a photo taken from the back page of a photography magazine. The new camera, Olympus OM-D, is expected to be announced on February 8, 2012.

The Olympus OM system has been around since 1972 until 2002. It features a 35mm SLR, lenses and other accessories.

Out of a sudden, Olympus has made a silent but violent entrance to introduce the digital OM. So, is it going to be a full-frame camera? Or M 4/3 mirrorless camera with an old-school style? Price expected for this camera is $1,100. Very cheap for a full-frame.

That would make those who are using Nikon n Canon to rethink OM is still better than them. Especially those who don’t know the OM history

Olympus OM-1 is full frame film camera. In the current market search, full frame inexpensive digital camer is what people want. And also it is a brand new market(no company make it for now). I like to see OM-D is full frame digital in OM mount so that all Oly OM lenses owners can use their lens again wisely. Don’t wait until it is too late because if you don’t, some company will.
