Recently, Tokina announced a new version of their 11-16 f/2.8 lens. The new AT-X 11-16mm f/2.8 Pro DX II will be released in late March 2012 for Nikon DSLR, and late July 2012 for Canon DSLR.
At the CP+ show next week, Tokina will announce the brand new AT-X 70-200mm f/4 Pro IF FX. This lens has built-in ultrasonic motor, making it compatible with consumer level DSLR.
Furthermore, AT-X 70-200mm f/4 lens has built-in shake correction mechanism. The length of this lens is 168mm and the minimim of shooting distance is 1 meter.
If you still remember, in 2011, Nikon sued Sigma over the lens stabilization patent. In my view, Tokina just created a new system from scratch for shake reduction.
This lens will also be the first Tokina lens with shake reduction system.
Wow!
