Update: It is reported that she died at Beverly Hills, California hotel and investigations are still ongoing on the cause of death.
One of the biggest pop stars to ever grace us with her voice, Whitney Houston; has passed away. She was 48.
The cause and location of her death is still unknown.
She was one of the world’s best selling artist at her peak. Her powerful voice had few peers and was known as the “Queen of Pop”.
At the end of her career, the sad tale of her drug abuse will always haunt her; her album sales dropped and her image was shattered with a wild demeanor and weird public appearances.
She attempted a comeback but failed as all that drug abuse has taken its toll on her health and her once magnificent voice became raspy and broken. Unable to hit the high notes as she once did, she cancelled a number of concerts on her tour while those that she did perform in left the crowd disappointed.
After everything though, she is still one of the greatest singers of all time. Rest in peace Whitney and thank you for all that you have given us, it was an honour to hear you sing.
