Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us is shaping up to be one of the more realistic games to be released for the current gen(minus the fungal zombie part).
In a video interview with Game Informer, game director Bruce Straley and creative director Neil Druckmann revealed a few mechanics pertaining to the game’s combat.
They are aiming to make the game as realistic as possible and is about surviving. Enemies won’t just start shooting if you pull out a gun, they might run away and if enemies have buddies; they will back them up and might start shooting you.
Health will not automatically regenerate, Ellie who will be controlled by an AI will be throwing bricks and other things at your enemies, and she will not frustrate the players trying to sneak up on enemies by breaking your ‘stealth’ and it may feature playable cinematics like the ones found in their adventure series, Uncharted.
