Bioware writer, Drew Karpyshyn has worked at Bioware for twelve years and worked on some of the best written games such as Star Wars: The Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect 1 & 2 and the more recent Star Wars: The Old Republic.
On his personal blog, he has announced that he is leaving the gaming industry to work on his novels and other non-game related projects. He has also written for Jade Empire, Neverwinter Nights and Baldur’s Gate.
He will be finishing his fantasy novel, Children of Fire which he has worked on for almost a decade. This will not be his first novel however as he has experience writing for novels based on Bioware’s game franchises like Baldur’s Gate and Mass Effect.
The gaming industry have lost a truly remarkable talent but we wish Drew nothing but the best in his future endeavours.
