It’s a matter of trust, branding and at the end of the day it’s PlayStation that proves to be the winner over their Xbox counterpart, well, at least on social media.
Just recently, the PlayStation page has passed 20 million likes on Facebook with the status update of the special moment getting more than 3,000 likes in a span of 15 minutes. Cool huh?
To put things into perspective, PlayStation is leaving Xbox behind with around 5 million of fans. Twitter is also the place where Xbox is being followed less than PlayStation, trailing close to 800,000 followers.
While they are the king of the social media, the current PlayStation consoles which comprises of PS3 and PS Vita does not actually top the unit sales as they are beaten by the Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS respectively.

Dude! Thanks for the half truth artical. Thank you for pointing out that PS brand is liked more but dude.
Xbox 360 was on the market an entire year ahead of PS3. It was the only next generation console and online play is a big thing this generation. Xbox won the online market by default due to that 1 year lead and anyone that wants to play with their friends has to get xbox.
Now look at the fact that PS3 has outsold 360 just about each and every month since 2008, bringing a 5 million console gap down to just 2.
You start running now, I will wait an entire year before I start running to race you. If I catch up to you then you must suck really bad.
Plus xbox is the only gaming platform pay to play, no exclusives (all good one’s on PC) no blu ray (yet still $299), no browser (even though this is M$) and of course RROD xbox is overheating, disk scratching, old disk tray, huge power brick POS.

If you are referring to VG chartz sales. Well, theyre just guesstimates.
I mean they have
MAG Preordered : 150,000
MAG First week sales: 120,000
You call that accurate?
And the gap is more than 2 mil and you know it.

The only reason why the Xbox360 is ahead in terms of sales is due to the fact that almost every person has to buy another Xbox again because of RROD.

in 2012 data base, xbox has 16 million user, pc has 5 million, ps3 has over 3 million. these are 2012 accurate chart. and xbox is selling much more ps3 in late 2011-2012. and more xbox gold membership has been activate. ps3 is good for everything, but if ppl want the best online gaming experience and online features+ the size of the community go for xbox
