The news are all over the Internet, 2K Games will be releasing BioShock Infinite on all major gaming platforms. We are happy about that, but our question is whether that would affect GTA V‘s release which is widely expected to be this year? We investigate.
BioShock Infinite, while being developed by 2K Games is actually under the control of their parent company, Take-Two Interactive who frankly, owns Rockstar Games, the studio responsible for the creation of the Grand Theft Auto series among other blockbusters.
So, when we take Rockstar Games into account, they will be releasing Max Payne 3 in May which raised our concerns about the time-frame between BioShock Infinite in October.
It would make more sense not to jeopardize a title as huge as GTA 5 by releasing it between those two dates or even near them. Why? Because if they did that, people will not buy either Max Payne 3 or BioShock Infinite and that definitely will not go well with Take-Two Interactive’s investors alike.
Well, you can say that we are both happy and sad about the BioShock Infinite’s release date announcement.
Nevertheless, there is still a possibility that GTA V will be released this year, but let’s just wait and see.

I wish GTA 5 would come out already.

Whoever wrote this article should have titled it much differently and also “people will not gonna buy…” ? I seriously doubt the integrity of this article.

I’m kinda doubting Bioshock has anything to do effect GTA 5s release. Max Payne 3 was pushed back solely for quarterly reasons; I’d have to guess GTA 5 has already been pushed to around December over Rockstar’s usual October release of the GTA series because of that. Although it may be both. Not like it matters anyway, we won’t know the release date for some time.
