Brothers Dene and Simon Carter, creators of the Fable franchise has left Lionhead Studios to form their own studio in the UK aptly named Another Place Productions according to Gamasutra.
Joining them will be key team members of the Fable franchise including art director John McCormack, technical director Guillaume Portes, and executive producer Jeremie Texier.
No other details were revealed as to what projects or platforms they are interested in developing for but when Simon Carter left Lionhead last June, he expressed interest in developing for XBLA, PSN, Steam and mobile.
The brothers founded Big Blue Box, a Lionhead satellite studio that was responsible for the Fable series. It was then absorbed in Lionhead Studios to become a single entity.
Lionhead is currently developing the Fable spin-off title, Fable: The Journey for the Kinect. It is however unclear how the departure of critical team members will affect the development as the title is slated to release this year.
