Elena is one of the 12 extra characters that the Vita will be getting from launch day and is due to make it onto the console versions via DLC but it seems a glitch allows you to play her right now.
Youtube user SoulReaperTTG showed in the video above of him using Elena as any other character and playing with her normally. He doesn’t explain how he did it but the game loaded Elena rather than Poison.
It is uncertain if final retail versions will come with this glitch or his version is a pre-release one.
