Eidos’ social media team has been rampant in pumping out updates on the upcoming title Hitman: Absolution through their social network pages, could it be that they have finally figured out when to unleash ‘The Original Assassin’?
Speaking on the official community forum for Hitman, Acid Burn from Eidos Interactive has commented on the release date where they said “There’s no official release date now, just 2012″ but he assured fans that “SE (Square Enix) did not push it to 2013.”
While Travis from Eidos in response to some hesitant fans seems to give a clue that there will be no release date revelation at the Games Developer Conference (GDC) tomorrow: “Unless we brought the release date forward to tomorrow, I’m pretty sure you’ll always want more and more info.”
Yesterday, Eidos has released official packshots of Hitman: Absolution for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. They also teased a screenshot of the game running the new proprietary engine Glacier 2 which they claim to support up to 1200 characters on a screen.
Hitman: Absolution was announced for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 last year.
