Apple is already selling out the iPad 3 in their online stores and they may accomplish 1 million sales on Friday alone, as predicted by Piper Jaffray, an analyst from the Gene Munster. The prediction came out along with his a research note.
According to his estimate, sales of the latest iPad may exceed the corresponding figure of the original iPad. The new iPad from Apple has appeared to be a stronger challenge for the rivals dealing with similar tablets. In the same cadence, iPad 3 is slowly turning into a necessary tool besides being used as a luxury item.
On the other hand, Apple didn’t disclose any official figure on the first-day sales of iPad 3 though analysts kept estimating about the potential sales within the next couple of weeks. About a year ago, Munster predicted that Apple sold out more than 500,000 during a particular weekend, while the others came up with figures that predicted it crossed 1 million. Hence, the analysts noted that the figure had every possibility to become smaller as there were limitations regarding the supply constraints.
Apple will continue selling Apple iPad at a reduced price starting from $399. The new iPad 3 price starts from $499.
