There has been a lot of buzz and speculations about the next Xbox to be announced in this year’s E3, but it seems Microsoft has confirmed that there will be no such thing as “new Xbox hardware”.
In statement sent to Game Informer, Group PR Manager for Microsoft Studios, Ryan James has said that, “While we appreciate all the interest in our long-range plans for the future, we can confirm that there will be no talk of new Xbox hardware at E3 or anytime soon.
“For us, 2012 is all about Xbox 360—and it’s the best year ever for Xbox 360. The console is coming off its biggest year ever—a year in which Xbox outsold all other consoles worldwide.”
Earlier in January, Sony president has also put away the PS4 rumors to rest by stating that there will be no plans to unveil the next-gen home console to their PlayStation brand lineup after releasing PS Vita.
