George Clooney and his father were both arrested while protesting on the Sudanese Embassy.
The two, along with several others, were warned three times not to cross a police line. George and the other protesters accuse the president of Sudan of provoking a humanitarian crisis, as well as blocking food and aid from entering the Nuba Mountains.
Members of congress were also arrested. George was released a few hours later after paying a $100 fine. Clooney said that he is not sure if his efforts made a difference, but he hopes that more people are more aware of it now.
George stated that if they did not do something now, in a few months, there will be a huge humanitarian disaster.
He says that now is the time since there is an upcoming rainy season and then no food or aid will be able to reach the area.
