Russell Brand, the soon to be exhusband of Katy Perry, is fighting a felony charge.
While in New Orleans, he took a paparazzi’s phone, and tossed it through a near by building’s window after Brand and the photographer got into a heated argument. Brand was arrested but posted the bail of $5,000. He now faces up to 2 years in jail because of his act.
Brand has hired Robert Glass from New Orleans to help defend him. Brand has already paid $240 to have the window fixed. Glass will argue that to replace the iphone and the window it will be less than $500, so he should face a minor crime for criminal damage.
Brand says that he was provoked by the photographer and that there was minimal damage to his iPhone.
