Representatives Joe Baca and Frank Wolf demand that their warning to be placed on the packaging of any video game that is rated ‘T’ (Teen) or higher by the Electronics Software Ratings Board (ESRB).
As we reported before, the label would read: “WARNING: Excessive exposure to violent video games and other violent media has been linked to aggressive behaviour.”
Speaking to The Hill, Mr Baca has mentioned that the video game industry is irresponsible to parents.
His partner Mr Wolf further stated that: “Just as we warn smokers of the health consequences of tobacco, we should warn parents and children about the growing scientific evidence demonstrating a relationship between violent video games and violent behaviour.”
Recent hit titles among youngsters nowadays includes GTA IV, Skyrim, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3 – all has been rated as Mature.

It’s true. Almost all of the recent hit titles has been rated mature. What’s not true is that videogame violence promotes a real world response. The lion’s share of reputable studies have reached the conclusion that videogames can even alleviate violent tendencies. Myona my ass.

I’m 17 and I play these games but even if they put warning labels on video games it wouldn’t work because many parents just don’t give a fuck nomore, here in the UK people are beating the shit outta eachother with large weapons, and they all play video games so the violence has to be coming from somewhere

In my opinion I beleive it is unnecessary. Time has moved on, it’s become natural for the generation and parents will not stop purchasing these video games as they know it’s what children do nowadays.
