A lot of us have heard about cloth diapering but don’t know as much about it other than thinking it is inconvenient. Just the opposite should be true in many ways. Many families are curbing their spending everywhere, and cloth diapering helps with that. You have the initial investment in buying the diapers and then that is it. You wash and use the diapers repeatedly. Unless you choose to use a diaper service (you would probably still save money) you will save a lot of money. If you are concerned about the environment, using cloth diapers instead of disposables will make you feel more like you are taking care of the environment.
We all know where disposable diapers go: in the landfill. But, of course cloth diapers never do. They just keep getting used. Many parents want their baby’s skin to be nice and healthy. Disposable diapers are not necessarily horrible for your baby’s skin, but they are not that great either. Some babies have awful reactions to disposable diapers. Cloth diapers tend to solve this problem. Cloth is much gentler on your baby’s skin. It is still up to the parent to decide which diapering method works best for their family. But these are some things you should consider in your decision.
